Rugby Union
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
All students from Years 7 to 12 can participate. Each team is capped at 23 players.
The competition is divided into three (3) divisions:
WHEN IS IT HELD?
The Rugby Union competition is played during Term 1 and is played in a home-and-away format with venues located at other schools within the district. Games are held on Monday afternoons/evenings with training conducted throughout the week.
OTHER COMPETITIONS
As a college, we also nominate teams in competitions that are not affiliated with Rockhampton District Sport which include, but not limited to the following:
- Ballymore Cup (held during Easter holidays)
- CQ 7’s Rugby Carnival (Term 4)
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
Students who participate in the rugby union program are required to wear the following:
- Football boots
- College rugby league socks
- College rugby league shorts
- Mouthguard.
COST
A levy is required to participate in this activity. Information relating to the cost of participation will be provided through the sign-on process and can be paid in full or charged to student accounts.
