Rugby League History
St Brendan’s College has forged a distinguished reputation as an outstanding rugby league nursery. The College has produced numerous Australian and Queensland State of Origin representatives and a host of former and current NRL First-Graders.
In recent years, the College rugby league program has achieved some great results from a range of competitions including:
- 2021 Aaron Payne Cup Champions
- 2022 Dolphin’s Cup & Dolphin’s Challenge Champions
- 2023 Confraternity Shield Champions
- 2024 Dolphin's Cup and Dolphin Challenge Champions
CONFRATERNITY SHIELD
The Confraternity Shield is the premier Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Rugby League Carnival. St. Brendan’s has a proud history of participation in this carnival being crowned champions on 14 occasions; 1982, 1983, 1985, 1987, 1996, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, and 2023.
