Information Technology Club
The IT Projects Club at St. Brendan's College is an innovative space where students come together to explore and engage in diverse tech-related projects. This club is the hub for creativity and hands-on learning, offering tutorials in 3D modeling and printing, game design, electronics, micro-controllers, Lego Robotics, and engineering challenges. Open to all students who have a passion for technology and a desire to dive into exciting IT ventures, the IT Projects Club provides a supportive environment for collaboration, skill development, and the pursuit of innovative projects.
COMPETITIONS
RoboRave – Sumo Robot Competition
- Who: Open to students with a competitive robot from the Term 1 competition.
- When: End of Term 2 – Depart Saturday, compete Sunday, return Monday.
- Where: Sunshine Coast.
- Cost: No cost – covered by a grant this year.
Hydrogen Cup Grand Prix
- What: A hydrogen-fuelled remote-control car competition with over 200 schools competing worldwide. Winners of the Queensland competition earn an invitation to the world championships.
- Who: Due to limited spots in this competition, club coordinators will make the final selection of participants.
- Cost: No cost.
- Competition Location: Day trip to Gladstone
