St Brendan’s College has long been a place of transformation and progress, and as the College moves into 2025, it reflects on the remarkable strides taken and the exciting journey ahead. More than just increasing enrolments, St Brendan’s is experiencing growth across all facets—academically, infrastructurally, and in student outcomes—further cementing its reputation as a leading educational institution in Central Queensland.
A Flourishing Community
Enrolments at St Brendan’s have reached new heights, with the College welcoming over 1,050 students in 2025 . This makes it one of the fastest-growing schools in the Edmund Rice Education Australia network. With both Day and Boarding programs operating at capacity and a strong waiting list, this growth is a testament to the trust families place in the College’s mission and values.

“St Brendan’s has always been about more than education. It’s about creating a community where young men can grow, explore their potential, and be prepared to make meaningful contributions to the world. Families recognise our holistic approach to education and the commitment we have to every student’s success.”

Building for the Future
To meet the needs of its expanding community, St Brendan’s completed the construction of 10 purpose-built classrooms in 2024 as part of its ongoing Capital Master Plan. The next phase of this ambitious plan includes the Rice Industrial Technology and Innovation Centre, a state-of-the-art two-storey facility that is earmarked to commence construction in the first half of2025. This follows the successful completion of the $7 million STEM Centre in 2022, reinforcing the College’s commitment to equipping students with future-ready skills.
Beyond classrooms, St Brendan’s has also delivered major infrastructure upgrades, including:
- $2.3 million Amenities Building (completed in 2024) featuring change rooms, a canteen, referees’ rooms, and function spaces.
- Oval Resurfacing Project (scheduled for 2025) in collaboration with Labosports International, ensuring top-tier sporting facilities.
- New Carpark & Transport Hub (commencing mid-2025) with 160 parking spaces, a 9-bay bus pick-up area, and a 16-bay drop-off zone to improve access and safety.
These significant projects have been made possible through $7 million in government funding since 2022, with careful financial planning ensuring minimal impact on families.
A Strong Tradition of Academic Success
The College’s commitment to excellence extends to student outcomes, with 2024 delivering St Brendan’s best academic results to date:
