HR & VET Officer

The HR & VET Officer will be crucial in providing support for various human resources and VET administration tasks, with a focus on recruitment administration, on-boarding and offboarding, work experience, VET systems, compliance, project management and organisational support for the Human Resources Manager and Director of Skills and Training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support for HR and VET functions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Coordinate and manage compliance requirements related to HR policies and VET programs.
  • Support recruitment processes, including advertising, onboarding, and maintaining personnel files.
  • Assist with data management and student records related to VET.
  • Liaise with staff, students, and external stakeholders professionally and effectively.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to the evolving needs of the college.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably in HR or education settings.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and VET compliance requirements.
