Faith and Mission

Grounded in the rich tradition of Edmund Rice and guided by our Catholic values, the College places a central focus on fostering a vibrant faith life. Our proactive Pastoral Care program complements this commitment, forming the foundation for all our initiatives. The core mission of our institution is to cultivate a secure environment for the holistic development of young men, instilling values of faith, respect, and knowledge. Beyond internal Masses, our students actively participate in the broader Capricorn Coast faith community, engaging in various Masses and events.

Throughout the daily fabric of school life, we embed opportunities for reflection, prayer, and liturgy. This integrated approach allows students to explore and deepen their understanding of faith and spirituality, whether individually, as a class, at their year level, or as a unified school community.

Every Tuesday evening, our boarding students embark on a meaningful journey to our outdoor amphitheatre to partake in the Eucharist. This ritual not only provides them with a chance for reflection but also serves as a pathway to further their comprehension of the Catholic faith. We extend a warm invitation to all members of our school and wider community to join us in this Mass and share in the spirit of faith and unity.

Our Mission

Faithful to the Gospel and inspired by the life of Edmund Rice, the community of St Brendan’s College
strives to bring Jesus’ vision of a world of justice, compassion and peace to reality.

We seek to fulfil our mission through providing an authentic education
that liberates the minds and hearts of all in our community.

We endeavour to be outward looking and engage in partnerships with others
beyond our community to advance our learning, transformation and growth.

We open our hearts to the poor and those at the margins and desire
to bring hope and change to our world through prayer, formation and action.

We value and support the gifts of each member of our family and
celebrate our diversity as source of strength and a sign of hope.

College Prayer

Loving God
Grant me the courage of
St Brendan, to journey
beyond the familiar and
into the unknown.

The conviction of
Blessed Edmund to
liberate the marginalised.

The compassion of Christ
to go forth with love.

And the faith not to doubt,
that it will be given.

St Brendan...

Live Jesus in our hearts...
Forever.
